SoftWriters Selected as a Finalist for PHRA Innovative People Practice Awards

SoftWriters has been selected as a finalist in the Diversity & Inclusion Category for the Pittsburgh Human Resources Association’s (PHRA) 2022 Engaging Pittsburgh: Innovative People Practices Awards. Taking place on Thursday, May 19th at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh, the PHRA Innovative People Practice Awards represent an opportunity to celebrate achievements in the categories of Diversity, Learning & Development, Talent Recruitment & Retention, Leadership and Teamwork, while providing a forum to cultivate positive professional relationships.

SoftWriters was selected as a finalist based on a transformational employment initiative that shifted the previous way of working together, by embracing Agile mindsets, principles, and operating models.

“Our teams have embraced a cultural mindset of ‘do good with, and for many’”, said Beth Davis, Vice President, People at SoftWriters. “By engaging and empowering our people in our decision-making processes, we have been able to cultivate a more positive work environment, where it is easy for them to choose to share their time and talent with us. Our team is having more productive, thoughtful customer interactions as a result.”

SoftWriters has been on an Agile transformation journey implementing a team of teams approach, which has helped to systematically bust silos and increase inclusion. This dynamic shift has been rooted in ensuring all voices are heard, to create an employment experience that truly engages people through psychologically safe working models that place paramount emphasis in leveraging different experiences, heritages, and personalities.

The PHRA recognizes employees and employers in the Pittsburgh region who demonstrate creativity in designing effective business practices. Learn more about PHRA here: Pittsburgh Human Resources Association (pittsburghhra.org)
