Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Manage Revenue Recognition process.
• Assist with Management of all general ledger activities, month-end close, preparation of financial statements for upload to Hyperion
• Assist with management of accounts receivable, collections, and payables
• Assist with management of inventory records and evaluate necessary adjustments needed to General Ledger valuations
• Maintain accurate Fixed Asset records and manage physical inventory validation and reconciliations
• Assist with management and KPI reporting.
• Assist with cash processing.
• Assist with management of billing, billing program interfaces, and order processing.
• Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of various sales tax filings, returns and reports.
• Research, analyze and monitor multiple state tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Gather and maintain all documentation required for the sales tax process.
• Assist with year-end tax package preparation to parent company
• Journal entries and monthly general ledger reconciliations
• Manage preparation of supporting documents for internal audit of financial statements.
• Address new and existing compliance-related efforts with auditors Roper compliance, inside and outside audit, and additional regulatory entities.
• Maintain accurate Fixed Asset records and manage physical inventory validation and reconciliations.
• Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience:
• Five (7) years of senior-level general accounting experience
• Sage 300 software proficiency
• Multi-state sales tax experience
• Microsoft Office 365
• Database experience, technology-oriented
 

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or equivalent combination of experience and education in an accounting role.

Skills:
• Broad understanding of general accounting and tax functions.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and accounting software.
• Exceptional project management and organization skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage a large number project deadlines
• Strong communication skills with ability to articulate tax information to individuals within the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and decision making.
